North America’s longest standing and largest participant ski race is taking place at Marmot Basin. Jasper Junior Olympics will once again come to Jasper, and the 5-6 year old category (The Dream Team) will be racing in their PJ’s. Come out and see these amazing little ski racers that are standing up with us this year for those who are too sick to stand up for themselves. Jasper the Bear will be there cheering them on in his PJ’s as well. The Dream Team will lead the PJ activities for 2016.

12 Noon – 1pm PJ Parade through Jasper downtown
International Rare Disease Day will be marked in Jasper by the Second Annual PJ Parade through town. Meet at the Information Center Lawn at 12 Noon, grab a ticket to be counted (and maybe win something at the end of the parade) and march with us. This was the most powerful event last year and we hope that we can see even more Jasperites out this year. I know we didn’t break any official record last year, but I’m willing to bet that we won the ‘Per Capita PJ Participation’ as almost 1/5 (see the symbolism?)of our entire population marched together. If you didn’t experience it last year, it’s totally worth the go, the feeling and vibe among the participants was unparalleled.

Group PJ Ski at Marmot Basin. Let’s break another record by getting more than 300 people to ski together in their PJ’s. There is no record for PJ ski right now, but there is a group ski record of 300 – I know we can do it. All the parents and Big Mountain and Nancy Greene kids can break this record alone.
